WFNX Radio presents Marcy Playground with special guests The Energy, DAve Crespo & The After Party and Cars On Mars and being poured all night is Rhode Island's best beer, made with honor, Narragansett Beer.
Marcy Playground is releasing their new album, Leaving Wonderland… In A Fit Of Rage, on July 7th featuring the single “Blackbird.” Marcy Playground is a highly original and melodic modern rock band, that first came onto the scene with their single “Sex and Candy” back in 1997 off their self titled album.
“Marcy Playground has come a long way from “Sex and Candy” and can’t wait to share the music they’ve been working on for the past five years,” said the official Marcy Playground website, www.marcyplayground.com, about the upcoming tour and album.
Also on the bill is special guest act, The Energy, DAve Crespo & The After Party and Cars On Mars. The Energy hails from New York City, while the other two supporting acts are hometown Boston bands building a reputation for putting on entertaining, packed shows. DAve Crespo & the After Party just released their first CD, DCAP on June 23rd featuring the song, "Across the Charles." The song is about a coming of age story that happens on the streets of Boston and Cambridge. Cars On Mars is a rock band with a twist of reggae blowing up clubs and especially basements in Allston.
The Opsercian Company brings vibrant local music to venues and bars in Boston. In 2009 The Opsercian Company has featured No Contracts Needed, the NCN Rompetition and most recently, The Haverhill Brewery’s DCAP CD Release Weekend. The Opsercian Company is dedicated to creating fun, live, local music experiences.
